Benzoyl Peroxide is one of the most clinically validated topical acne actives available. At 2.5%, it delivers effective acne-fighting activity with less dryness and irritation than higher concentrations — making it appropriate for daily cleansing use morning and evening.

Mechanism

Oxygenates Pores

C. acnes (acne-causing bacteria) are anaerobic — they thrive without oxygen. Benzoyl Peroxide releases active oxygen into the pore environment, creating conditions in which acne bacteria cannot survive. This oxygenation is the primary mechanism that makes Benzoyl Peroxide one of the few topical actives to which bacteria do not develop resistance.

Detoxification

Detoxifies Congested Skin

Beyond its antibacterial action, the cleanser detoxifies congested skin — removing the buildup of sebum, dead cells, and environmental debris that clogs pores and creates the conditions in which acne develops. Regular use keeps the pore environment cleaner and less hospitable to breakout formation.

Formulated to soothe irritation while it treats — the formula includes calming actives that reduce the irritation and redness that can accompany acne breakouts, making the cleansing step actively therapeutic rather than simply mechanical.

Both Types

Use White Towels Only

Benzoyl Peroxide is an oxidizing agent that bleaches colored fabrics on contact. Always use white towels when using this cleanser and be careful with clothing, pillowcases, and sheets. This is a standard characteristic of all Benzoyl Peroxide products — not a defect.
